EU-Capital of Culture | February 24–26, 2023 | Timisoara, Romania

The European Capital of Culture opening weekend (February 24–26) is an integral part of the Cultural Programme of Timisoara 2023

The featured collaborations and encounters between international and Romanian artists send messages from Timișoara to Europe and the rest of the world that solidarity, an open society and technological advancement ensure a sense of common struggle in times of hopelessness, societal divides and ecological challenges. The opening programme will include a series of performances and events throughout the city, and a light installations along the Bega River – commissioned through a national and international open call.
