FETE DE LA MUSIQUE
Every year the Fête de la Musique sounds at the beginning of summer. With the idea of the French minister of culture Jack Lang the Worldwide Music Day started in 1982 and has since developed to a global and popular event. By now Fête de la Musique connects peoplein 540 towns worldwide, of which 300 are located in Europe (approx. 50 in Germany). Since 1995 it also takes place in Berlin – every yearat the beginning of summer on the 21st of June - free of charge and throuthout the city.
