Peripheral Visions
The Peripheral Visions project seeks to connect cinema communities on the periphery of Europe, by using technology and the film festival network. In April, young Galwegians will join 48 other European cities, from 35 different countries, as part of the European Film Academy’s Young Audience Award – a ‘Eurovision style’ cinema event. In July, 14 film festivals will come together at the Galway Film Fleadh to formalise the ‘Europa Festivals Network.’ This network will curate a roster of cinematic gems for a festival tour of County Galway’s finest film clubs and cultural venues.
