INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
To celebrate this year's International Women's Day, the Metropolis cinema in Hamburg presents "The Revolution of Women" with the original title "La révolution des femmes - Un siècle de féminisme arabe" by the female director Feriel Ben Mahmoud. The film tells the story of Arab feminism, which is barely known in Europe, and which domestic political clashes and foreign policies influence the emancipation movements of different generations in Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon. The statement of the film is that there is no democracy without equal rights for women!
