QUESTIONING FORMS AND NORMS

The San Sebastian Feminist Culture Festival has for years been addressing the most relevant cultural practices of art and contemporary politics from a feminist perspective. It is a fun and informative approach which brings together all types of creators and activists from different places and backgrounds who work to alter meanings, question forms and standards and tell new stories. Names such as Mari Luz Esteban (anthropologist, University of the Basque Country) and Esther Ferrer (artist) appear in the festival program each year. The 11th edition will be held from 14-17 December 2016, and the Plazandreok Woman's Political Platform is offering a program with conferences, round tables, workshops, screenings, concerts and performances focused on demanding a more participative, equal and democratic culture for everyone.
